Title: FIGURE No 6

Back to Dakar.

After five years of absence, the return is confused, brutal. It is the return to the original world with familiar faces, time to live and the sun.

But it is also the world of family problems and reintegration into a role and place which Parisian anonymity had almost made one forget.

The face on the canvas is hardly sketched. Some precise lines, but reduced to a minimum, which seem pierced by the multicolored convergent cylinders. A delicate moment, expected and dreadful at the same time. Between Europe and Africa, one should look for the signs and the confusion born by this telescoping should gradually become blurred.

The canvas is unusually small as if to concentrate and synthesize these impressions more easily.

In Wolof (Senegalese language) there is a word by which one can translate mixture or amalgam: "Ndiarhass"
