This piece leads us to another aspect of the artist's work.
Toward the end of his stay in Paris, Fode who preferred to call himself a "plasticien" rather
than painter, started exploring other forms and technique. This desire to escape from the linear and flat world, starts with a split of the canvas. This portrait cut along the contours of the face, was glued on to kraft paper and then split into four parts of the same dimension.
