WHAT'S NEW

We moved

After 10 years in New York, where Tamarin was born in 1996, we have decided to relocate our activities in Europe. We are now located in Bonn, Germany.

For more information

Since its inception in 1996, tamarin.com has built a reputation as one of the finest online art galleries dedicated to the arts of Africa.
We have recently, however, considerably extended the range of our activities, necessitating the need for the single website Tamarin.com to be divided into several different websites, each with its own focus.

Tamarin-photo.com is the first product of this reorganization. Curated in partnership with Jocelyne Benzakin, Tamarin-photo.com will exhibit and sell the work of photographers from all over the world. We are happy to announce that the site will feature not only the work of well-established, internationally-known artists, but the work of exciting, emerging talent as well.

We are hoping Tamarin-photo.com allows you the most enjoyable viewing of some of the world's most exciting photographers.

Tamarin
New York, April 2003

Pierrot Men, a photographer presented at Tamarin, was selected to be part of the book project : "a day in the life of Africa".

"Every image in this extraordinary book was captures on one day – February 28, 2002 – when 100 of the world’s top photojournalists fanned out across the entire continent of Africa for a historic 24 hours shoot. Their mission: to capture images that celebrate a vast, vibrant continent in transition.

The divers photo team from 26 countries included more than a dozen Pulitzer Prize and World Press Photo winners and more than 20 African and African-American photographers."

This book is now available at amazon.com

Another good news for Pierrot Men. A book about his work has been issued in France on Januray, 15 2003.

This book : "Madagsacar, la grande île secrète", has been issued by "Autrement" Publishing in Paris, and is available at amazon.fr
