Pierrot Men’s images are born from his familiar world, without adornments or mannerisms. He captures the strange signals beamed by ordinary things and transforms the fragments of banality into poetic visions. At home in humanistic reporting, Pierrot Men has been adept at developing his style to very personal variations in which his formal mastery and quality of the perception are molded with finesse. Always on the move, he plays with ease at capturing the light or upsetting the space which he delivers. “The heir without knowing it of Henri Cartier Bresson,” as writes his friend Bernard Descamps, Pierrot men is today a genuine inventor of images and stunning photographs, which confirms day after day his remarkable talent, acclaimed in l994 by the Grand Prix Leica.

Pierrot Men
|
Pierrot Men has an inbred sense of reporting. His eye and his camera catchy simultaneously those moments in life that we never see and which exist only for the photograph. In the streets of Tana or Malagasy villages, Pierrot Men has that capacity of seeing and framing that instant where everything is organized into a photograph. Heir without knowing it of Henri Cartier Bresson, enamored with life and its lights, sensitive to others and their difficulties in living in certain corners of this planet, he realizes his dream: adolescent, with his childhood friend, aware of the misery and hunger rampant in the streets of Tana, they had sworn, in a pact of blood, to become an “artists.” Pierrot is a photograph, his friend a famous painter in Madagascar.
