"There is a great similarity between praying and sculpting. Praying is the quest to communicate with superior forces, with God. Sculpting is to create, and creation requires an inspiration that comes from elswhere. I know that it is God who inspires me. My sculptures are prayers. I try through my sculptures to talk to God. I try to hear him... That is praying". (interview with artist)
